Sturgeon School Division is governed by seven elected trustees. Their primary purpose is to provide overall policy direction for the school division and to represent the public, their stakeholders.

The Board of Trustees encourages stakeholder input at board meetings and through school councils as well as in the policy development process and the three-year planning process.

As part of their duties, each of the trustees of Sturgeon School Division is involved in division committees to facilitate the work of the Board.
