Welcome to Sturgeon School Division

We have a long history of educational excellence and are especially proud of the community atmosphere that exists at our schools. This helps create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable and safe, and parents are encouraged to get involved.

Student success is the focus of our educational programs. In addition to continuing success in provincial achievement tests and diploma exams, many of our students are rewarded with the Alexander Rutherford scholarships. Students in our vocational programs also achieve high levels of success, winning top honours in local, provincial and national competitions.

We offer a wide range of programming options, from regular core subjects to advanced placement to vocational training. We also offer the Head Start programs to assist young children with communication and school readiness skills as well as an alternate high school program for students who are unable to learn within a traditional high school setting.

Dr. Michèle Dick
Superintendent

Our graduates are prepared for citizenship, post-secondary studies and the world of work. Our schools focus on helping children develop emotionally, intellectually, physically, morally and spiritually into creative and critical thinkers with strong communicative and computational skills. The learning environment emphasizes discipline, achievement and responsibility.
