From the Superintendent

Welcome to Sturgeon Public School Division. We are a family of 16 schools serving over 5,000 students from across Sturgeon County.

Our schools have a long, proud community tradition. We provide an excellent education to local youth and serve as a vital hub for children, parents, teachers, staff and local government, services and businesses to come together. Community is created here, and our students contribute in various ways as they grow into the leaders and caring citizens of tomorrow.

Academic excellence has always been a defining characteristic of our division. Our highly talented and dedicated teachers inspire education within the classroom. From preschool to Grade 12, our innovative teaching methods and dynamic programming support each student to learn the knowledge, skills and personal attributes needed for a successful future. We are home to unique programs including Headstart, French Immersion, LOGOS, Hockey Academy, Green Certificate, Advanced Placement, Registered Apprenticeship and many, many more.

Within our halls, students find a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Every child finds a place to fit in, and our close-knit schools help children feel a strong sense of belonging and acceptance. Students – and parents – get to know each other and form friendships to last a lifetime.

Sturgeon Public School Division is truly a special place. Built on a strong academic foundation and proud heritage, we look with confidence to a bright future ahead. Welcome to the journey!
