Important Info!
Career and Life Management (CALM)

Credits: 3 (CALM) or 5 (CALM with HCS3000 and HCS3010)

Students require a minimum of three credits in CALM to obtain a high school diploma.

The aim of senior high school CALM is to enable students to make well informed, considered decisions and choices in all aspects of their lives and to develop behaviours and attitudes that contribute to the well-being and respect of others, now and in the future.

CALM Course Content
Topic A:  Personal Choices
Topic B:  Resource Choices
Topic C:  Career and Life Choices

Completion of Workplace Safety Systems (HCS3000) is a prerequisite for any off-campus program including Work Experience and RAP. HCS3000 and HCS3010 (Workplace Safety Practices) will provide you with skills and certificates which may be useful in future employment.

Can I do CALM in the summer?

Completing CALM and HCS3000/HCS3010 in July is a great way to start your high school experience.  With flexible hours during July, you will have begun the journey to earn your high school diploma! Due to its popularity, registering in early June for CALM in Summer School  is highly recommended.

Can I do CALM during the regular school year?

Completing CALM and HCS3000/HCS3010 during your regular school semester is an effective way to meet this high school diploma requirement.
