  • You can enroll in a course at anytime in a school year.

  • You can work at your own pace.

  • We offer adult upgrading.




  • You can be registered with another high school and use our program to complete additional courses.

  • We offer Work Experience 15, 25 and 35.

  • We follow the Alberta Program of Studies, using both school-developed components and Distributed Learning materials.

  • Completed modules and final exams are marked on site and marks are submitted directly to Alberta Education.

  • We offer adult upgrading.

  • You can enroll in a course at anytime in a school year.

  • You can work at your own pace and finish courses as fast as you are able.

  • You can attend school when it is convenient for YOU!

  • Did you know that about one third of Sturgeon Composite High School grads completed courses at SLC.

Selected DIPLOMA EXAMS can be written in November and April as well as the standard January, June and August dates.




Please note that Alberta Education funding does NOT allow:

  • students to register in the same course at two schools in the same semester.

  • students who are in a homebound program or have unique special needs to register at two different schools.

  • junior high students to register in high school credit courses until they successfully complete Grade 9.  Note:  Students who graduate from Grade 9 in June, may take high school courses during our summer school in July of the same year.
