Work Experience 15, 25, 35

Credits: Maximum of 15 credits

Prerequisite: CTR 1010

Work Experience is a high school program in which students can gain high school credits while working at their part-time job.

Students may receive credits at the 15, 25 and/or 35 level.  Students receive 5 credits for every 125 hours based upon successful completion of school and workplace learning expectations. 

Students can receive credits for paid or volunteer work.


What are the working hours?

The Student (15 years or older) must be supervised by an adult and may work between 7 AM and 10 PM seven days a week.

The Off-Campus Education work schedule may be accommodated in the student's timetable but must not interfere with the student's other scheduled classes.


What are the Employer/Supervisor's Responsibilities

The employer/supervisor must assist the student to do meaningful work, provide adequate supervision and assist with the student's evaluation process.
