Boundaries and Eligibility

Each school in Sturgeon Public Schools has a designated attendance area. Where a student lives determines their designated schools. It also helps determine their eligibility for transportation.

For residents of Morinville, Bon Accord, Gibbons and Redwater, transportation is provided for:

• Kindergarten to Grade 6 students who live farther than 1.0 kilometres from their designated school
• Grade 7 to 12 students who live farther than 2.0 kilometres from their designated school
• Students living closer may still be accommodated if there is capacity and resources available to accommodate 

Rural students may be required to walk up to 400 metres to a bus stop.
