480: Student Accident Insurance

Responsible Administrator: Associate Superintendent Corporate Services


Basic blanket accident insurance is purchased annually by the Division to cover all students who are permanent residents of Canada. Enhanced student accident insurance is available to all students on a voluntary “parents to pay” basis.


The Associate Superintendent Corporate Services is responsible for this Administrative Procedure.


1. Information on blanket accident insurance coverage shall be provided to all schools on or before September 15 each year.

2. Enhanced student accident insurance registration kits shall be provided to all schools at the commencement of each school year.
